Knox Little is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of August 19-23.
Knox is a fourth grade student in Miss Lori Buhler's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  my dog Annie
Where would you like to travel?  Texas  How would you get there?  I would like to fly.
What is your favorite class in school?  science
What makes you feel brave?  when I have to walk in front of a lot of people
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  Vanderbilt Children's Hospital
What do you want to be when you grow up?  engineer
Miss Buhler says, "Knox is a fantastic student who always does what is asked of him.  Then, he does a little more.  He is kind to others, follows directions every time, and always has a positive attitude.  He is a joy to have in class!"
 
 
 
 
Sydnee Varden is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of August 19-23.
Sydnee is a first grade student in Mrs. Rachel Burns's class.
What makes you happy?  when I'm around family and friends
Where would you like to travel?  to California  How would you get there?  by plane
What is your favorite class in school?  science
What makes you feel brave?  when I think I can achieve something
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  the Humane Society
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a chef
Mrs. Burns says, "In our short 2 weeks of school, Sydnee has stood out as a model student.  She comes to school every day with a positive attitude and a smile on her face.  She gives her best effort on every activity and tackles every task with a "can do" attitude.  She is a role model to her fellow classmates, and I consider myself lucky to get to be her teacher."
 
 
 
 
Anna Claire Copeland is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of August 12-16.
Anna Claire is a first grade student in Mrs. Karen Berry's class.
What makes you happy?  my teacher, Mrs. Karen
Where would you like to travel?  to the beach  How would you get there?  in our car
What is your favorite class in school?  Color Kids - Pouty Purple is my favorite.
What makes you feel brave?  when I had to get shots
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  to the hospitals to help babies in the NICU
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a teacher
Mrs. Karen says, "Anna is a student who exhibits the characteristics of a child we all want in our classroom.  She thinks of others before herself and always puts forth a positive attitude.  After only seven days in first grade, I am sure Anna will excel in all she does.

Hope Deaton is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of September 16-20. 
Hope is a second grade student in Mrs. Amy Adams's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  my family
Where would you like to travel?  Disney World  How would you get there? boat
What is your favorite class in school?  gym and math
What makes you feel brave?  my Daddy
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  St. Jude
What do you want to be when you grow up?  marine biologist
Mrs. Adams says, "Hope is new to our school and has wonderful behavior.  She always smiles and creates a positive atmosphere wherever she is.  I am very proud to have this West TN girl in my class!"
 
 
 
Jacoby Cochran is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of September 9-13.
Jacoby is a third grade student in Mrs. Jill Allbert's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  playing with my brother
Where would you like to travel?  Hawaii  How would you get there?  I would like to fly in a plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  math
What makes you feel brave?  walking through the woods
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  the animal shelter
What do you want to be when you grow up?  veterinarian
Mrs. Allbert says, "Jacoby is a great student.  He always shows up ready to work hard and learn.  He is mindful and respectful of his classmates.  I never have to worry about Jacoby doing the right thing."
