Student of the Week: January

 

Avery Greene is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Kristy Proffitt's second grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? playing with my friends and reading
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Antarctica to see polar bears
What do you like about your teacher?  She is kind to us.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? sing in choir, play the piano and build things
What do you want to be when you grow up? chef or teacher
Mrs. Proffitt says, "Avery excels in the classroom in all areas.  She is always a good friend to everyone she meets and is very trustworthy.  I know I can count on her.  I love seeing her love for books and reading grow.  I am so pleased to have her in my class this year."

Dane Morrow is the Star Student of the Week from Ronda Robinson's third grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? math
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii
What do you like about your teacher?  She's pretty and I like her glasses.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? Drawing is a hobby.  I like to play with my sister.
What do you want to be when you grow up? artist
Mrs. Robinson says, "Dane was selected as 'Star Student' because she exemplifies all the qualities of what a star student should be.  She is always prepared and contributes to our classroom environment with a positive attitude.  She is a friend and helper to everyone she encounters.  It is a privilege to have Dane in class!"

Sydnee Varden is the Star Student of the Week from Lauren Griffin's fourth grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? science experiments
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? California to see my family
What do you like about your teacher?  She is kind and helpful.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun?  I like to draw and hang out with my sister.
What do you want to be when you grow up? veterinarian
Mrs. Griffin says, "Sydnee is a polite, sweet and caring student.  Her classmates voted her as our student of the week!  She is a model student who always gives 100%.  She is willing to lend a hand to anyone in need."

Laykn Triplett is the Star Student of the Week from Rachel Burns's fifth grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school?  the teachers because they are very nice

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Texas

What do you like about your teacher?  I like that she is nice, funny and she talks to us.

What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun?  I like to go to the cows and help my Mom and Dad.

What do you want to be when you grow up? nurse

Mrs. Burns says, "Laykn is a model student.  She comes to school each day with a smile on her face, ready to learn.  Laykn tackles every task with a "can-do" attitude and gives 110% on all assignments and activities.  She is a friend to all and is always willing to work with anyone in class.  Laykn is a perfect example of our school's motto, "Do the right thing because it is the right thing to do."  I consider myself blessed to get to be Laykn's teacher."

Raigan Profitt is the Star Student of the Week from Tammy Cummings's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school?  playing with friends like Cheyanne
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? to the beach to see my grandma
What do you like about your teacher?  She's nice.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun?  play with my sister, hunt deer and play softball
What do you want to be when you grow up? a vet
Mrs. Cummings says, "Raigan is a great student and a good friend.  She is usually one of the first students in class each morning and is always prepared and ready to learn.  Raigan does her work carefully and neatly.  She is kind to peers and respectful of adults.  I am so blessed to be Raigan's teacher."
