Student of the Week: December

 
 
Olivia Powell is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of December 16-20.
Olivia is a fourth grade student in Mrs. Kristy Proffitt's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  when my cat comes to comfort me
Where would you like to travel?  I would like to visit China one day on a plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  I enjoy all my classes this year.
What makes you feel brave?  accomplishing things that I'm scared of
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? I would give it to the homeless because there are many homeless people that I want to help.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a vet or a volunteer - I just like helping others.
Mrs. Proffitt says, "Olivia comes to school each day with a smile on her face.  She shows manners wherever she goes.  She is such a joy to have in class and I am proud to be her teacher."
 
 
 
Sierrah Dotson is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of December 9-13.
Sierrah is a fifth grade student in Mrs. Pam Dwyer's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  my family
Where would you like to travel?  to Hawaii on an airplane
What is your favorite class in school?  reading
What makes you feel brave?  doing gymnastics
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? The Help Center here in Dickson
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a nurse 
Mrs. Dwyer says, "Sierrah's work ethic is inspiring and contagious.  She continually works hard on a daily basis, and is willing to help others.  I love her "deep" thinking and acceptance of other's thoughts when having class discussions.  She adds value to our classroom."
 
 
 
 
Allie Reeves is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of December 2-6.
Allie is a Kindergarten student in Mrs. Tammy Cummings's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  being at home with my family
Where would you like to travel?  to Florida on an airplane
What is your favorite class in school?  writing my daily journals
What makes you feel brave?  when I do something new
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? a charity who would feed hungry little kids
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a nurse like momma
Mrs. Cummings says, "Allie is an excellent student who always does her best!  Allie is a caring friend who helps classmates when needed.  Allie is always respectful to adults.  Allie loves school and is always happy and eager to be here."

Devin Miles is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of November 18-22.
Devin is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Jenny Burgess's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  my family
Where would you like to travel?  to Florida by plane
What is your favorite class in school?  art
What makes you feel brave?  when I go into the dark
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? to a person without a home
What do you want to be when you grow up?  construction worker
Mrs. Burgess says, "Devin is the most kind-hearted student.  He is a supportive friend to all classmates.  He follows the class and school rules and encourages others to do the same.  Devin is a humble student in and outside the classroom who always does his best.  Devin is a true role model for his class.  I am such a blessed teacher to have him in my classroom."
 

 

Fabian Perez is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of November 11-15.
Fabian is a 2nd grade student in Mrs. Lauren Griffin's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  his family
Where would you like to travel?  Fabian would like to travel to Mexico by car.  He would visit his grandfather.
What is your favorite class in school?  math
What makes you feel brave?  playing outside with his cousins
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? foster care
What do you want to be when you grow up?  Pilot in the Air Force
Mrs. Griffin says, "Fabian is a wonderful student and friend to his classmates.  He is very helpful, polite and gives his best effort throughout the day.  He was chosen by his peers to be our star student this week."
 

Lincoln King is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of November 4-8.
Lincoln is a 3rd grade student in Miss Katey Hargrove's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  Thanksgiving, because I get to see a lot of my family.
Where would you like to travel?  Australia, because it looks like an interesting country.  I would get there by a plane...18 hours!
What is your favorite class in school?  music
What makes you feel brave?  when I see someone hurt and I run to them to help them
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
What do you want to be when you grow up?  Pilot, because the Air Force has been my dream job since Kindergarten.
Miss Hargrove says, "Lincoln is an exceptional student.  He works so hard and encourages others to do the same.  He is exceptional, kind-hearted and bright."

Kristina Dixon is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of October 21-25.
Kristina is a 5th grade student in Mr. Spencer Bryson's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  Everyone and everything, because we are made by God...we are brothers and sisters.
Where would you like to travel?  Florida  How would you get there? by bike - I do not want to pollute the air.
What is your favorite class in school?  All of them, because they are so much fun.
What makes you feel brave?  everything
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  I would give it to poor people and to every charity.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  an teacher or librarian
Mr. Bryson says, "Kristina was an easy choice for my student of the week.  Kristina always arrives to class with a smile on her face and an eagerness to learn.  She understands the importance of her education and always gives 100%.  She is kind to her classmates and is always respectful.  I can't wait to see where Kristina's hard work and positive attitude takes her in life!"

Ansley Quillin is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of September 30 - October 4.

What makes you happy?  going to the trampoline park
Where would you like to travel?  Florida  How would you get there? in my car
What is your favorite class in school?  computer lab
What makes you feel brave?  when I practice swimming in a pool
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  I would give it to people that don't have money.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  an artist
Ms. Archer says, "Ansley is a well-mannered, hard working student.  She always wants to try her best and always aims to please.  She always goes beyond what is expected and sets high expectations for herself.  I am blessed to have such a kind-hearted friend in my class this year!"

What is your favorite class in school?  science
What makes you feel brave?  standing tall
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  a teacher
What do you want to be when you grow up?  pipe fitter
Mrs.Bumpus says, "Collin is a new student at our school and I am so glad he is in my class.  He is a great friend that follows directions with a smile on his face.  He is a great peer role model and I know he will grow up to do great things!"

What makes you feel brave?  my Daddy

What do you want to be when you grow up?  marine biologist
Mrs. Adams says, "Hope is new to our school and has wonderful behavior.  She always smiles and creates a positive atmosphere wherever she is.  I am very proud to have this West TN girl in my class!"

Where would you like to travel?  Hawaii  How would you get there?  I would like to fly in a plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  math
What makes you feel brave?  walking through the woods
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose?  the animal shelter
What do you want to be when you grow up?  veterinarian
Mrs. Allbert says, "Jacoby is a great student.  He always shows up ready to work hard and learn.  He is mindful and respectful of his classmates.  I never have to worry about Jacoby doing the right thing."
