Student of the Week: May 2019

 

Ellie Godwin is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Traci Williams's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? math
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Disney World
What do you like about your teacher? She teaches us about subtraction.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? swing
What do you want to be when you grow up?  veterinarian
Mrs. Williams says, "Ellie is a sweet girl.  She smiles every day and tries her best in school."

Hunter Webb is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Tracy Robinson's fourth grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? Hunter likes math and reading and all the new friends he has met this year.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? If Hunter could travel to any place in the world, he would go to Colorado.  It is beautiful there; and it is the best place to hunt elk, moose, mule deer and prong horn.
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice, loving and fun.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? Hunter's hobbies are playing baseball, hunting, and fishing.  For fun, he likes playing with his dad and sisters.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  Hunter wants to have a career as a professional hunter.
Mrs. Robinson says, "Hunter is responsible, kind and helpful to his teachers and classmates.  He is always smiling, always ready for the day, and is an excellent role model for his peers.  I truly enjoy having him in class every day."

Rowan Kavli is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Lori Wilson's fifth grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? My favorite parts about school are my teachers, because they are awesome.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? I would go to Panama City Beach, because I love the ocean.
What do you like about your teacher? She is kind and patient.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? My hobbies are reading, sewing, and singing.  I like doing sports for fun, such as cheer and gymnastics.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be a teacher because I work well with kids.
Mrs. Wilson says, "Rowan is a joy to have in class. She is always respectful and kind. She gives her best effort 100% of the time.  Rowan is a leader in our classroom and is a shining example of a "star student".  I am proud to be her teacher!

Nicholas Fishell is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Beth Williams's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? everything
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? I would go on a ferry boat.
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play football.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a worker that works at Eubank paving
Mrs. Williams says, "Nicholas is a wonderful young man.  He is always respectful of my student as well as me.  He is also a hard worker during class and always does his best."

Isabella Gordon is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Paige Bumpus's first grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? Math
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? to the beach because you can swim
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice and pretty.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? play with my friends and sisters
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a teacher
Mrs. Bumpus says, "Isabella is an all around great student.  She comes to school every day with a smile on her face and ready to learn.  I can always count on her to do the right thing and be willing to help others.  She is a beautiful, bright shining star!"

Julian Wilson is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Mary Wills's second grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? writing because it is peaceful and quiet
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Iceland because my toy dragon is from there
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? read about dragons
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a paleontologist or an astronomer
Mrs. Wills says, "Julian is a fine young man whose polite manners and kindness always shine through.  He has been a hard worker and the kind of student and friend we should all strive to be."

Tony Garduno is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Sandra Warf's third grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? math
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Mexico
What do you like about your teacher? She is kind.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? read and watch TV
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a police officer
Mrs. Warf says, "Tony is a star because he works hard every day.  He quietly does what is expected and helps out in our classroom without being asked.  He "lives" our school motto...do the right thing because it's the right thing to do."

Ragan Kullman is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Jennifer Salley's fourth grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? science
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice and fun.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? go horseback riding
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a veterinarian
Mrs. Salley says, "Ragan has worked very hard this year to become a better student.  She asks good questions, is curious about the world around her and has a great sense of humor.  I am blessed to have Ragan in my class this year and have enjoyed watching her grow into an amazing young lady."

Student of the Week: March

 

Haylee Turner is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Jackie Ward's fifth grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? seeing my teachers and learning all subjects
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? I would go to Paris.
What do you like about your teacher? I like that she helps me and my classmates when we are confused.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I do competition cheerleading.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  gymnastics coach, teacher, designer
Mrs. Ward says, "Haylee is one of the most helpful students I have had in 27 years of teaching!  She works hard every day and always tries her best.  If another student needs help on an assignment, she volunteers to help.  She cares about her grades, and  has really improved this year!  I am so proud of her, she exemplifies a star student!"

Riley Fletcher is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Janessa Rodgers's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? that I get to do fun crafts
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? New York, I want to live there when I get older.
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play with my baby sister and family.  I like to do front walkovers in gymnastics.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  artist and gymnastics teacher
Mrs. Rodgers says, "Riley is an exceptional student and friend to all.  She is kind, helpful and a hard worker.  I am so glad to see her smiling face every day!"

Donnie Condiff is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Brooke Parham's first grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? getting to learn
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? New York to see all the big buildings
What do you like about your teacher?  if we need help, she always helps us
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play with my Batman toys.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  work at the Humane Society
Mrs. Parham says, "Donnie is an all-star student!  He is always polite, always listens and follows directions the first time, tries his best, and is a great friend to others.  He is the perfect role model and I love that I get to be his teacher.  Some days I learn more from him, than he does from me!"

Weston Crow is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Brittany Walls's second grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? recess
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? beach in Florida
What do you like about your teacher?  I like that she is so funny.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play basketball and baseball.
What do you want to be when you grow up? a police officer
Mrs. Walls says, "Weston exemplifies what it means to be a star student.  He is always so kind and helpful to friends in our class, as well as other friends throughout the school.  He always works hard and gives it his best shot even when things get tough.  I'm a blessed teacher to have him in my class."

Abigail Gafford is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Kathy Sayle's third grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? being able to learn
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii
What do you like about your teacher?  She is really pretty.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? ride horses and train my cow
What do you want to be when you grow up? a police officer like my Papa
Mrs. Sayle says, "Abigail is kind and helpful to all her classmates.  She is eager to learn, and always participates in class discussions and activities.  She completes her work in class and her homework with excellence."

Maci Albright is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Janine Langley's fourth grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? math and social studies

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Paris

What do you like about your teacher?  her amazing personality

What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? softball and basketball

What do you want to be when you grow up? anesthesiologist

Mrs. Langley says, "Maci is a born leader.  She's one of the first to volunteer for classroom roles and responsibilities.  She is positive and always happy to help others.  She is eager to participate in discussions within our classroom and always has her hand up ready to learn and share."

Riley Davidson is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Mary Grace Reed's fifth grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? learning and making new friends

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii

What do you like about your teacher?  Mrs. Reed believes in me and challenges me to do my very best.

What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? gymnastics, basketball and going swimming

What do you want to be when you grow up? Occupational therapist

Mrs. Reed says, "Riley is the STAR student because of her positive attitude and strong work ethic.  Riley comes to school everyday with a smile on her face, and she is always ready to work hard and do her best when she gets here.  She is an asset to our classroom, and we are so glad to have her at Centennial!"
