Student of the Week: March

 

Riley Fletcher is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Janessa Rodgers's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? that I get to do fun crafts
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? New York, I want to live there when I get older.
What do you like about your teacher? She is nice.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play with my baby sister and family.  I like to do front walkovers in gymnastics.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  artist and gymnastics teacher
Mrs. Rodgers says, "Riley is an exceptional student and friend to all.  She is kind, helpful and a hard worker.  I am so glad to see her smiling face every day!"

Donnie Condiff is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Brooke Parham's first grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? getting to learn
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? New York to see all the big buildings
What do you like about your teacher?  if we need help, she always helps us
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play with my Batman toys.
What do you want to be when you grow up?  work at the Humane Society
Mrs. Parham says, "Donnie is an all-star student!  He is always polite, always listens and follows directions the first time, tries his best, and is a great friend to others.  He is the perfect role model and I love that I get to be his teacher.  Some days I learn more from him, than he does from me!"

Weston Crow is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Brittany Walls's second grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? recess
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? beach in Florida
What do you like about your teacher?  I like that she is so funny.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? I like to play basketball and baseball.
What do you want to be when you grow up? a police officer
Mrs. Walls says, "Weston exemplifies what it means to be a star student.  He is always so kind and helpful to friends in our class, as well as other friends throughout the school.  He always works hard and gives it his best shot even when things get tough.  I'm a blessed teacher to have him in my class."

Abigail Gafford is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Kathy Sayle's third grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? being able to learn
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii
What do you like about your teacher?  She is really pretty.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? ride horses and train my cow
What do you want to be when you grow up? a police officer like my Papa
Mrs. Sayle says, "Abigail is kind and helpful to all her classmates.  She is eager to learn, and always participates in class discussions and activities.  She completes her work in class and her homework with excellence."

Maci Albright is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Janine Langley's fourth grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? math and social studies

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Paris

What do you like about your teacher?  her amazing personality

What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? softball and basketball

What do you want to be when you grow up? anesthesiologist

Mrs. Langley says, "Maci is a born leader.  She's one of the first to volunteer for classroom roles and responsibilities.  She is positive and always happy to help others.  She is eager to participate in discussions within our classroom and always has her hand up ready to learn and share."

Riley Davidson is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Mary Grace Reed's fifth grade class. 

What is your favorite thing about school? learning and making new friends

If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii

What do you like about your teacher?  Mrs. Reed believes in me and challenges me to do my very best.

What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? gymnastics, basketball and going swimming

What do you want to be when you grow up? Occupational therapist

Mrs. Reed says, "Riley is the STAR student because of her positive attitude and strong work ethic.  Riley comes to school everyday with a smile on her face, and she is always ready to work hard and do her best when she gets here.  She is an asset to our classroom, and we are so glad to have her at Centennial!"

Jayden Lane is the Star Student of the Week from Ms. Amy Lewis's Kindergarten class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? We read books!  I like when we do calendar.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? to that little island that's in the ocean
What do you like about your teacher?  She's nice, she helps us learn.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? make crafts, paint, draw, and build things
What do you want to be when you grow up? teacher
Ms. Lewis says, "Jayden is the most kind hearted child who truly cares about others.  She loves to help me in class with whatever I ask.  Jayden is always lifting others up and ALWAYS doing the right thing in class."

Avery Greene is the Star Student of the Week from Mrs. Kristy Proffitt's second grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? playing with my friends and reading
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Antarctica to see polar bears
What do you like about your teacher?  She is kind to us.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? sing in choir, play the piano and build things
What do you want to be when you grow up? chef or teacher
Mrs. Proffitt says, "Avery excels in the classroom in all areas.  She is always a good friend to everyone she meets and is very trustworthy.  I know I can count on her.  I love seeing her love for books and reading grow.  I am so pleased to have her in my class this year."

Dane Morrow is the Star Student of the Week from Ronda Robinson's third grade class. 
What is your favorite thing about school? math
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go? Hawaii
What do you like about your teacher?  She's pretty and I like her glasses.
What are your hobbies?  What do you like to do for fun? Drawing is a hobby.  I like to play with my sister.
What do you want to be when you grow up? artist
Mrs. Robinson says, "Dane was selected as 'Star Student' because she exemplifies all the qualities of what a star student should be.  She is always prepared and contributes to our classroom environment with a positive attitude.  She is a friend and helper to everyone she encounters.  It is a privilege to have Dane in class!"
