Josh McClancy is the  Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of March 30 - April 3. Josh is a fourth grader in Ms. Petra Wattigney's homeroom.  Congratulations, Josh!

McKenzie Proctor is the  Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of March 23-27. McKenzie is a Kindergartener in Mrs. Janessa Rodgers' homeroom.  Congratulations, McKenzie! 

 

 

 
Riley Fletcher is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of March 9-13.
Riley is a 1st grade student in Mrs. Jessica Jackson's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  when I get to see my little sister and five brothers
Where would you like to travel?  I would like to fly to New York City.
What is your favorite class in school?  I love Art!
What makes you feel brave?  having my friends with me during something scary
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? to a children's hospitatl
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a cheerleader
Mrs. Jackson says, "Riley is such a joy to have in class.  Riley is such a good friend to the other kids and always looks for ways to be helpful in the classroom.  She is a sweet girl and I am so blessed to have her in my class!"

What makes you happy?  my mom
Where would you like to travel?  I would take a car to Nashville.
What is your favorite class in school?  I really love math.
What makes you feel brave?  when I try something hard
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? to sick kids
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a teacher
Mrs. Walls says, "Aliana always works hard and tries her best.  She is kind to everyone both inside and outside of our classroom.  She's always quick to offer a helping hand.  I'm so blessed to be her teacher.  She makes me proud daily!"

What makes you happy?  my sisters
Where would you like to travel?  I would travel to the Arctic by plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  math
What makes you feel brave?  my friends
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a chef
Mrs. Robinson says, "I nominated Avery for star student for many reasons.  She is dependable and responsible.  I can count on her to do the right thing even when no one else is looking.  She's supersmart and keeps her teacher 'on her toes'.  She has a caring heart and is eager to please.  Her smile is contagious, she's a friend to anyone she meets.  I have been blessed to have Avery as a student this year."

What makes you happy?  playing with my dog
Where would you like to travel?  I would travel to Hawaii on a plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  science and social studies
What makes you feel brave?  when I'm in charge
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? The Nashville Rescue Mission
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a psychiatrist
Mrs. Reed says, "I nominated Layla because she comes in EVERYDAY with a smile on her face and love in her heart.  Layla is always willing to help her classmates, and she does it in a kind and caring way.  She wants to make sure her teacher and everyone around her feels their very best.  Layla is very giving of her time, her talents, and her hugs.  She makes me want to be a better person!"

 
 
 
Savannah Greene is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of February 10-14.
Savannah is a 5th grade student in Mrs. Jackie Ward's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  playing in the woods
Where would you like to travel?  I would go to Ecuador by plane.
What is your favorite class in school?  math and science (Mrs. Ward's classes)
What makes you feel brave?  meeting new friends
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? The Humane Society
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a dentist
Mrs. Ward says, "Savannah is a very hard working student who always strives to do her best.  She always uses good manners, is an extremely well-behaved student, and a joy to have in class.  I am so blessed to have her in my homeroom class!  Not to mention she loves math and science - my favorites!"

Tahbreyah Williams is the Centennial Elementary Star Student for the week of February 3-7.
Tahbreyah is a Kindergarten student in Ms. Amy Lewis's homeroom.
What makes you happy?  being at school and seeing Ms. Amy
Where would you like to travel?  Disney World - I would go by car, if it was fast.
What is your favorite class in school?  I like Science and learning how things work.
What makes you feel brave?  not being scared of scary movies
If you could give $100 to a charity, which one would you choose? to the school
What do you want to be when you grow up?  a teacher
Ms. Lewis says, "Tahbreyah is one of the most kind children I've ever taught.  She consistently is someone who chooses to do the right thing.  She is a hard worker and always tells the truth even when it's hard to do!  Often she will bring in money for ice cream and give it away!  I am beyond proud to have her in my class!"
