Mandy Payne
Payne, Mandy
7th Grade Literacy

In 1993, I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte (NC) with a BA in English and a BA in Communications. For the next 15 years, I worked various jobs in the PR/marketing world. After teaching a Vacation Bible Class with my mother-in-law I decided that I would rather devote my time and energy to helping kids instead of making a company money, so I returned to school to become a teacher. I taught in Western North Carolina for six years before moving to Tennessee in 2015 when I joined the Dickson County School System. I’m most excited when I can help students see that what they learn in Literacy class can be applied to real-world situations to help them be active and productive members of society.
