My goal is to make education fun and purposeful striving to promote long term carryover of healthy life skills. With a variety of diverse teaching methods, I believe all students can learn and have fun while doing it.

I am very happy to be starting a new year at DMS. I am very honored and very happy to be a Special Education Assistant Teacher. I love working with children, and if you can make a difference in a child's life, it is such a rewarding and blessed feeling!

I also have children and grandchildren of my own. I am very happy and privileged to be helping raise two of my grandchildren now; they live with us. I love spending time with my family and my friends. I also have my school family and it's a beautiful blessing to be able to do it all.  Life is precious and I want to enjoy every minute of it. If I can just touch someone's life in a positive way, I feel I am doing my job. I look forward to this year and the years to come!

I have been working with middle school students since. I am married and have twins, a boy and a girl, and a dog named Brady. I love Tennessee Vols football (GBO!), spending time with my family, traveling, and reading mystery/suspense/thriller novels.

I was a music teacher for 16 years and was lucky to teach in the same building where my three sons were attending school. I am currently working on my Educational Doctorate Degree in Strategic Change in Education from Lipscomb University in Nashville. Nancy Warden received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her Master of Science from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. She has previously worked with a variety of children and adults in both the home health and school settings. She provided therapy for a variety of communication disorders, including aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, cognition, and organic voice disorders in the home health setting and designed and implemented in-service workshops to educate various home health agencies on speech, language, and swallowing resources. While working as a Speech Language Pathologist in the schools and in private practice, Nancy provided therapy to a large multicultural population of school-aged children, as well as developmentally delayed preschoolers, in the areas of receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, cognition, dyslexia, autism, and socialization. Nancy holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency and is a member of the American Speech-Hearing Association, Tennessee Speech-Hearing Association, Hawaii Speech-Hearing Association, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Nancy and her husband have three children and one grandchild and live in Franklin. She enjoys reading, sewing, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

 I attended the University of Tennessee for 4 years, and 1 year at Northeastern State University where I received my B.S. in Mathematics. I am currently working on my Masters of Education in Secondary Education through Grand Canyon University. I am an assistant coach for our Dragons Volleyball team. My goal is to help all students achieve academically so they can be successful in their future.
