McCormick, Kayla
Special Education Teacher
The students call me Mrs. Kayla. I am certified to teach Regular Education K-6 and Special Education K-12. I taught Pre-k for one year, and then decided to teach 4th grade SPED inclusion. I enjoyed it so much that I taught it for 4 whole years! Now I teach 4th and 5th grade SPED inclusion. I am where I want to be! I am married to a wonderful man named Taylor, and we have a daughter named Kaylynn. In my free time I like to watch Netflix and search Pinterest for ways to improve my house! My favorite quote is "Say what you mean, and mean what you say because the people that matter won't mind, and the people that mind won't matter."

Roe, Karen
Special Education Assistant
I was born and raised in Dickson County. I graduated from DCHS. I have experience in Early Childhood Education through the TECTA program at Austin Peay State University. I also attended classes at MTSU. I have worked in the Dickson County School District since 2007. I spent the first 6 years as a substitute teacher. I was at Dickson Middle School as an educational assistant from 2013-2019. I am now a special education assistant at Sullivan Central. I love seeing my students actively learning and having fun while they do it. My hobbies include reading, spending time with friends and family, and watching sports. My favorite football teams are the Titans and the Volunteers. I like soccer, basketball, and watching the DCHS Cougar teams. I am thankful to be a part of Sullivan Central Elementary! Let the adventure begin!
