Second Grade

Back to School!

School starts back Thursday, August 1st, and with a new school year comes the need for new school supplies. The following list  names the supplies your child needs to be prepared for class. Don't forget to come see us at Open House on Sunday, July 28th from 2:00 to 4:00! It is the best time to meet your teacher and go ahead and grab your paperwork.

Reminder: Tax free weekend is July 26-28, 2019.

Second Grade Teacher
The kids call me Mrs. Amy. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1991. I have been teaching 2nd grade for 9 years and have been at Centennial for 20 years. Before that, I taught 5th grade for 3 years and 3rd grade for 14 years. My favorite thing about my job is helping mold students to be their best. I am married and have 1 child.

The kids call me Mrs. Griffin. I graduated from UT Martin in 2009 and 2011. I have taught fourth and fifth grade and have been at Centennial for the past 9 years. My favorite thing about my job is being able to create a fun and safe environment for children that will instill in them a love of learning. "Wander often. Wonder always."
Sarah Sensing

The kids call me Mrs. Sarah. I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2019. This is my first year teaching, and I am teaching 2nd grade. I am looking forward to building a community in my classroom that supports each other academically. I am married and have one child. The kids call me Mrs. Brittany. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2016. I started my teaching career at Centennial teaching second grade and have been here for 4 years now. The kids call me Mrs. Traci. I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1993. I have been teaching Kindergarten for 3 years and have been at Centennial for 3 years. Before that, I taught for 24 years. My favorite thing about my job is seeing my students learn and grow. I am married and have 2 children.
