Congratulations, Mitch Pierce, New William James Middle School Assistant Principal

Mr. Pierce earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Austin Peay State University in 2010. Completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2017 from Carson Newman University with the hope of having a more impactful influence on young people’s lives in our community. He has been employed by the Dickson County Board of Education as a teacher at Dickson County High School for the last eight years. All eight years have been spent at DCHS teaching various science courses, managing the Virtual High School program for all grades 9-12, working as a class coordinator, and coaching basketball and football. Having been born and raised in Dickson, Mr. Pierce has passion for this community. He is driven to be a servant leader because of a strong Christian faith. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Meda Pierce, for 12 years and has two children. Family, faith, and community will be his guiding principles as an administrator.
