Dr. Corey Duke - Burns Middle School Principal

Dr. Duke was born and raised in Dickson County, Tennessee. He graduated from Dickson County High School in May of 1996, and Berry College in December of 2002 with a degree in HPE Teacher Prep and Athletic Training. Dr. Duke received his Masters in Administrative Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in December 2005. Recently, he finished the Doctoral Program at Trevecca, receiving his doctorate in Leadership and Professional Practice.
 
In 2003, Dr. Duke began his career in the Dickson County School System at The Discovery School as their Elementary Physical Education teacher. In 2007 he accepted the Assistant Principal position at Creek Wood High School. After three years as an Assistant Principal, Corey became the Principal where he served in that role for four years. In 2014 Dr. Duke stepped down from that role to spend more time with his family, returning back to the classroom at Dickson County High School. Two short year later, Corey returned to an administrative role as the Principal of Dickson Intermediate School where he has remained for the last three years.
 
Dr. Duke and his wife are long standing members of the community and have two children. Dr. Duke is elated at the opportunity to open Burns Middle School.
