December 5, 2018Today we are on schedule “A”. We are
in Homeroom Dragon Time Rotation.
Perfect attendance reward is today during Homeroom. There
will be a Movie and popcorn for perfect attendance recipients for the month of November. Teachers, please let students know when they
go to homeroom and we will call them down when the movie is ready.
If you are interested in being a part of the cast of “Disco
Knights”, auditions are December 12th, 13th and 14th
in the cafeteria from 3:30-4:30.
Students who are auditioning for cast only need to see Ms. Randall today
during homeroom for audition information and parent permission forms to stay
after school. Students must return forms
before they will be allowed to audition.
DMS softball players are doing a Fan Cloth fundraiser. If you need some Dragon gear see a softball
player, Coach Breeden or Coach Baker to place an order.
The Drama Department is proud to announce the spring play
“Disco Knights”! This hilarious
mini-musical takes place on a roller skating rink in the 70’s. If you are interested in being a part of this
opportunity, auditions for cast members are December 12th, 13th,
and 14th in the cafeteria. If
you are interested in filling other needed positions, such as stage managers,
stage crew, makeup, set creations, etc. please see Ms. Randall or Mrs. Tidwell
to sign-up.
DMS will participate in a Food and Supply Drive in the next
couple of weeks to support the Help Center and their immediate needs. The items are divided by HOUSES and the time
frame is brief. This Drive will run from
November 28th through December 14th. Please support your community and the spirit
of competition among HOUSES and bring those items to school as soon as
possible. The HOUSE with the most items
will receive 20 HOUSE points.

The Junior Beta Club President will be distributing service
logs and blood donor recruitment forms during 8th grade lunch today
and the Vice-President will do the same during 7th grade lunch.
Our next Blood Drive will be here on December 10th
from 2:15-6:00 p.m. Our goal is 40 units
donated for this drive. Forty units save
120 lives. If you are a Beta member and
wish to work the blood drive you need to see Mr. Proffitt to sign up. It will be on a first come first serve
basis. Junior Beta Club officers will
meet today in Mr. Proffitt’s classroom during 8th grade lunch
period.
There will be a short Jr. Beta Club meeting in the cafeteria
from 2:55-3:05 this Friday for those who can attend.
