Announcements
Teachers please open your
email that was sent yesterday concerning the naming of our front entrance
road. Voting will take place until the
end of first period.
Junior Civitan will meet
during Called Clubs on Thursday, 10/25, in room #110. This meeting is for
officers, current members and those interested in joining. Dues are $20 and
should be paid immediately.
The Art Club will be hosting
a Bring Your Own Pumpkin carving event after school Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30
outside rm 400. We will also paint signs for Haunting on the Hill. See any art
teacher for more details.
Tickets for the Fall play,
Night Chills:Stories of Edgar Allan Poe, and tickets for play cuts will be sold
during lunch this week. Tickets for the
fall play may be purchased at lunch for $5, they will be $10 at the door. Freshmen,
Sophomores and Juniors may purchase play cut tickets for $2. Play cuts will be Wednesday morning and
students will need to have a ticket to leave class to go to the auditorium for
the play cuts. No tickets will be sold
at the door.
The French Club is placing a
second order for t-shirts. Deadline is today. For more information, please see
a sponsor
Forensics team members: Sign
ups are available for the Henry County tournament on Saturday, November 3. The
deadline to sign up is Friday, October 26.
Juniors, don't forget
sign-ups for college trips are open through Wednesday at 3:00. Follow the link on the DCHS website calendar to
choose your top three choices. Don't let
the deadline to sign up pass you by. UT
Knoxville is now full. If you have any questions

The history club is asking
all of its members to bring a bag of individually wrapped candy to room 309 Ms
Bryant or 514 Ms. Howington for Haunting on the Hill. Thank you in advance and Please avoid candy
with peanuts.
Today in sports
Both Cougar and Lady Cougar
bowling teams fell short(7-20) against Creek wood in their 2nd match of the
season. Both teams will host Greenbrier Tuesday the 23rd @ 3:45 pm @ Bowl O
Rena.
DCHS Fishing Team- will
travel to Dale Hollow Friday for the State Tournament
There will be a meeting on
Thursday night at 6:00 in Room 301 for any boy interested in trying out for the
Cougar Soccer team. One parent must also
be in attendance in order to fill out all paperwork required for conditioning
and Tryouts. Please see Coach Cardona in
room 301 with any questions.
The Harlem Wizards will bring
their team to compete against teachers in Dickson County. The Harlem Wizards brand of "Trick Hoops
and Alley Oops" entertainment basketball has been packing gyms across the
globe for 50 years! Their show includes
amazing slams, world-class tricks, precision teamwork, and humor. The game will be Thursday, October 25 at 7
pm. Doors will open at 6:00. Student tickets are $10 at the door. A portion of the proceeds from this event
will go to the Career and Technical Education programs at Dickson County High
School.
