Announcements
The following classes will
meet in the auditorium today. Mr. Taylor, Mr Mitch Pierce, Mr Allison, Mr southerland,
all jrotc classes, all of those students in iss and Mrs Stock.
Teachers we will have zone
meetings today. Please be prompt with
your scheduled time.
The DCHS history club is
taking a field trip on November 20 to the Oak Ridge national Lab. Members will
tour the city of Oak Ridge, the nuclear facility and actually see the graphite
reactor. All students traveling on this field trip must see Ms Bryant or Ms
Howington no later than Friday, November 9 to turn in their full legal names,
date of birth, and place of birth. The national Lab must have this information
no later than Friday to conduct background checks.
DCHS HOSA will be hosting a
Blood Drive on Nov. 16th. If you would
like to donate you can see a HOSA member during your lunch shift to make an
appointment. HOSA members will be
available during lunch between the front and back cafeteria. Thanks for your

Students who signed up to be
a timekeeper at tomorrow's Forensics Tournament should meet in the back
cafeteria at 8:00am. Forensics Team
Members: Today is the last day to sign up for the Science Hill Tournament.
Today in sports
The Cougars beat East
Robertson 23-4 points by 420 pins and with a total pinfall of 2995. High match
scores include Senior Matthew Jackson bowling a 193 and 207 and Malacki
Hargrove bowling a 219...which is a PR for him.
Also setting a PR is another freshmen, Alex Madden bowling 185. The Cougar and Lady Cougars bowling teams
will bowl at Bowl O Rena on Monday Nov. 12 beginning at 3:45 pm. This is Senior Night
Boys Basketball Tryouts will
be today at 5:00. You will need a
physical to tryout.
Multi-sport athletes
statistically have less injuries and less body fat. The DCHS Coaches support multi-sport student athletes. Cougar wrestling is open to both boys and
girls. The last day to join the team
will be November 9th. See Coach
Patterson in room 713 if you are interested.
We will be on a Wednesday 246
hybrid schedule. After 2nd
period all students will report to their homeroom to receive magazine
commission money. Students do not leave your commission money laying around. Afterwards
we will call students to the gym. Do not
leave your homeroom unless you have sold 3 magazines. Teachers as a reminder no student should
report to the gym unless they have sold 3 magazines. Homeroom teachers make sure you check your
list before dismissing students. Highlighted students should stay in homeroom.
All class coordinators and coach murphree, coach pierce, coach Daniel, pattye
post and joel clark please report to the auditorium to assist with homeroom
duties.
