Today’s announcements 11/7/18
Good morning cougar
nation! We like to start each day here
on the hill with a moment of silence. Please
pause with me now for a brief moment of respectful silence.
Now let’s stand for the
pledge of allegiance to the flag:
I pledge allegiance to the
flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today in sports
Boys Basketball Tryouts will be
on Friday November 9th at 5:00. You will
need a physical to tryout.
Thirty two teams made it to
the 6A High School playoffs this year.
It is not a coincidence that the majority of these teams have players
that wrestle after the football season has ended. Wrestling and football go hand in hand. You flat out cannot be great football player
at the next level if you cannot turn your hips and run. On the other end if you
want to be a great high school wrestler you first must be both physically and
mentally tough. Multi-sport athletes
statistically have less injuries and less body fat. The DCHS Coaches support multi-sport student
athletes. Many famous football players
that wrestled include: John Hannah, Bo
Jackson, Ray Lewis, Roddy White, Steve Wisnieski, Scott Wells a TN state champ
and Super Bowl champ, Ray Lewis, Adam Vinatieri and Warren Sapp. Other famous athletes, Presidents and
celebrities have wrestled as well. Cougar
wrestling is open to both boys and girls.
The last day to join the team will be November 9th. See Coach Patterson in room 713 if you are
interested.
DCHS Boys bowling team bowled
against East Robertson Tues. Nov. 6th. DCHS boys won 25-2 with a pinfall count
of 3113. This pinfall total is the
team's highest count to date. The following bowlers set personal records: Freshman Trey Milam - 138, Freshman Alex
Madden - 175, and Junior Drake Tidwell - 185.
Both the Cougar and Lady Cougars will travel to Hendersonville on Wed.
11/07 to take on White House.
We will be on a regular schedule
today. During cp we will have game
changer sessions.
The cougar of the day is Mrs.
Rachel Hedge. We would like to wish a
happy birthday to Mrs. Rachel today.
