The library will be open
until 5 on Wednesday and Thursday.
A reminder to All freshmen,
please return your signed report cards to your social studies teacher.

DC Bright Lights by supporting and raising awareness for the Leukemia and
Lymphoma Society on Nov 2nd at Nissan Stadium@ 530pm as we take part in a Light
the Night. Light the night is a walk that aims to bring light to the darkness
of cancer through research and cures. To register or make a donation please
visit the link below. T-shirts available to order through Friday. If you have any questions please contact
Isabella Cardona or Alison Breeden. Thank you for joining us as we take steps
to end cancer. We light the Night!
** The state of Tennessee
provides Governor’s School summer programs for gifted and talented high school
sophomores and juniors. These programs
provide challenging and intensive learning experiences in a variety of
disciplines. Applicants should be in the top of their high school class in
performance and capability. Governor’s School applications are available online.
Any interested student should stop by the Counseling Department to pick up
information on how to apply.
Reminder: Completed applications
and related paperwork for Governor’s School are due in the Counseling
Department one week prior to the postmark deadline printed on the applications.
DCHS will host a
Post-Secondary Options meeting for sophomores and their parents on Monday,
November 5 at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. This will take place during the last
hour of our parent/teacher conference time. There will be representatives from
a public 4-year college, private 4-year college, 2-year college, an applied
technology college and the military.
Representatives will discuss the different options and be available to
answer questions. Please make plans to
attend.
Any seniors that have not
taken their senior portraits need to go by Mrs. Kline's desk in the front
office to sign off on their photography time slot. Pictures will be taken
November 1st in the auditorium.

Tryouts for the Lady Cougar
Basketball team are being held Wednesday, October 31st, in the back gym from
3:00-4:30. If you are interested in
trying out for the team, please see Coach Webb.
We will be on a regular
schedule today. During cp we will have
game changer sessions.
