Elementary Conference - ACEs-Building Strong Brains Tennessee (1)

Description:
This training is part of the Tennessee’s Building Strong Brains initiative. The Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) and the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) have partnered to train a cohort of mental health professionals and educators to conduct professional development activities in schools and communities. After a brief overview of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), this workshop will address how to create a trauma informed environment in the classroom as well as behavioral strategies to help students with ACEs be more successful at school.
