May 7, 2019Today we are
on “B” schedule and we are in “R” Dragon Time rotation. House meetings today.
We have
incoming new Dragon Nation members touring our building all day today. Please be aware and make them feel welcome!
Concert Band
and Student Council need to be released right after announcements to get ready
for our tours today.
HOUSE
leadership and students, you will receive permission forms today during your
HOUSE meetings. The information on these forms need to be
signed front and back by a parent for you to be able to attend the final HOUSE
reward field trip. The window of time is
so short and the points are so close that I need all of you to get permission
in case your HOUSE wins the final points on field day! There will be folders for each HOUSE in the
front office in the morning. Please get
these signed and turned in by Friday, May 17th.
This week is
“Teacher Appreciation Week”! A week is
not long enough to reward all of your hard work, attention to our students and your
positive motivation day in and day out.
Student Council will be providing lunch today! Thank you Student Council and Mrs. Minnis!
Tonight is
the DMS Choir Concert! It is free and
will start at 6:30 p.m. Come listen to
some wonderful music of Disney. Choir
students, you will need to bring a dark, school appropriate dress or dress
pants and a dark formal shirt. Food can
be dropped off at the doors to the auditorium between 5 and 6 p.m., but
students cannot walk over to the Frosty Jug for food.
The final
DMS dance, “Big City Lights” is scheduled for this Friday from 6-8 p.m. The dress is casual or formal. Tickets are $5.00.
Mrs. Elliott
would like to remind everyone that she has about 30 yearbooks left to
sell. Yearbooks will be in within 2
weeks and you do not want to miss out in getting one.
If you are
attending BMS next year and are interested in trying out for a sport the list
of tryout dates is posted in the front office.
