Today we are on “A” schedule and we are in “A” Dragon Time rotation.

HOUSE leadership and students, you should have received permission forms yesterday during your HOUSE meetings.  The information on these forms needs to be signed front and back by a parent for you to be able to attend the final HOUSE reward field trip.  The window of time is so short and the points are so close that I need all of you to get permission in case your HOUSE wins the final points on field day!  There will be folders for each HOUSE in the front office in the morning.  Please get these signed and turned in by Friday, May 17^th.

Students, we have stamped envelopes for you to purchase in the front office to give to your Homeroom teacher to mail your report cards at the end of the year so you don’t have to pick them up on Saturday.  Those envelopes are on sale for $1.00.

This week is “Teacher Appreciation Week”!  A week is not long enough to reward all of your hard work, attention to our students and your positive motivation day in and day out. Don’t forget to stop by the War Room today to enjoy a second day of “Nacho Average Teacher” Day!  And today is “Free Drink Friday”!  Be on the lookout for your Sonic selection to be delivered!

If you are interested in trying out for the DMS girl’s soccer team tryouts will be held May 21^st and 22^nd here at DMS from 3:30-5:00. You must have a current sports physical and you must bring a soccer ball for tryouts.  There are forms in the office for you to fill out and turn if you plan to attend.

The final DMS dance, “Big City Lights” is scheduled for tonight from 6-8 p.m.  The dress is casual or formal.  Tickets are $5.00.  There will be photos taken for $5.00 tonight, as well and printed here!   Only current 7^th and 8^th grade students at DMS will be able to attend.

If you are an upcoming 8^th grader and are interested in playing boy’s basketball for DMS Coach Bybee would like to meet with you during your Dragon Time.  We will make the announcement after you check in with your Dragon Time teacher.  Also, DMS Boy’s Basketball will be hosting an additional tryout for all rising 7^th graders and football players on May 20^th from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at DMS.

Mrs. Elliott would like to remind everyone that she has about 30 yearbooks left to sell.  Yearbooks will be in within 2 weeks and you do not want to miss out in getting one.

Monday is a Professional Development day for teachers so students get an extra day off!  DMS teachers need to be here at 12:00 and then we will be embarking on an “Open House” from 4-6 p.m.
