Description:
This presentation includes a general overview of reading development and how it is impacted by characteristics of dyslexia. Common myths associated with dyslexia will be discussed. Students with characteristics of dyslexia may have their needs met in tiered intervention, and some may qualify for special education services. Information about how dyslexia fits within a Specific Learning Disability will also be included.
