January 23, 2019Today we are on “A” schedule and we are in Homeroom Dragon
Time rotation.
7th and 8th grade students with
perfect attendance for the first semester (from day one to Christmas break)
your field trip permission forms are due on Thursday. There will be no late turn in.
7th Grade awards day will be in the auditorium
today during Homeroom.
Tryout packets for the 2019 DMS track team are now available
in the office. Athletes planning to try
out must have a current sports physical for the 2018-19 school year.
Students please don’t forget to turn in your report cards
with your HOUSE name on it for points for the new quarter. The second quarter HOUSE winner will be announced
this week….stay tuned!
Congratulations to our DMS Basketball Ladies and Men’s
teams!! They both posted big wins in their games last night and received third
place in area 11. They are both moving
on to the next level of tournament play at Station Camp Middle School tomorrow
night. Our ladies play at 5:30 and our
men play at 6:50.
Boys’s Soccer information packets are available in the front
office. Tryouts are January 28th
and 29th on our football field and you must attend both sessions. You must have a current sports physical to
try out.
DMS Softball tryouts will be conducted on Monday, January 28th
and Tuesday, January 29th at Dickson County High School from
5:30-7:30. Please make sure you bring
your try out form and a copy of your sports physical. That information is available in the front
office.
Our next HOUSE family night will be January 25th
which is Friday from 6-8 p.m. Isibindi will be hosting. Everyone is welcome to enjoy free food, fun
and games as long as you attend with a parent.
Isibindi members need to bring in Little Debbie Cakes and drop them off
with Coach Baker or Ms. Wilkes.
Amistad is working on making hygiene products available for
students here at DMS and would appreciate donations of the following: Shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste. Please leave donations in the box outside the
cafeteria. Thank you for your help!!
