As we continue to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the United States women winning the right to vote, today we will recognize Elizabeth Stanton.  She was an author, lecturer, and chief philosopher of the women’s rights and suffrage movements.  Elizabeth Cady Stanton mapped out the agenda for women’s rights that guided the struggle well into the 20th century.  She collaborated with Susan B. Anthony by writing speeches, articles, and books promoting women’s rights.  She authored “The Declaration of Sentiments” in which she called for social and legal changes to the constitution which included women’s equality in society and the right to vote.

Our Wonder precepts thought of the day: “If thou follow thy star, canst not fail of glorious haven.” Dante Alighieri
