WJMS DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – Monday, August 19, 2019
 
 
Congratulations to students and staff – We are a Level 5 school for two years in a row.  Thanks to everyone for working hard to achieve this goal.  Every student every day matters!
 
Fund Raiser – The selling has begun.  Students have a fundraiser packet and this is the weekend.  Thank you for helping us to get a new Audio/Projection system in our gym.  We will have a 243” diagonal electric screen with top of the line projection and audio features.  First turn in: Wednesday, Aug. 21.
 
August 26 @ 5:30 – Informational parent meeting at DMS auditorium about the Washington D.C. Trip.  Information can be found in the document holder by the office. 
 
Colonel Choir will have its first practice today from 3:00-4:00.
 
 Golf: - Our Golf team played Friday at Centerville.  Our boys came in 2nd by 2 strokes and our Lady Colonels Golf team won first place by 11 strokes.  Aubrey Dillehay had the top score with a 24!  They have a game today at MB; Aug. 26 at MB; 9/9 at Centerville for the district tournament
 
Football:  Play tomorrow night against Fairview.  This also 8th grade night and we need to have every seat occupied to show our support. 
 
Volleyball: Lady Colonels will be fired up tonight as they take on Dickson on Monday at home.  We need everybody here in purple and gold for this game.             
 
Cross Country: Any student on the cross country team give your name to Ms. Anderson at lunch.
      
We will have our first Pep Rally tomorrow.  Be proud and wear that purple and gold.

Thought for the Day: Why is Monday so far from Friday, and Friday so near to Monday?
Parents:
Ms. Shepard is in need of an electric keyboard.  If anyone out there has one and would like to donate it to our music dept. they would be very thankful.
 
7th Graders need their immunization shots and record of the immunization brought to school.
