This is my sixteenth year in the Dickson County school system and my first at DCHS, and I am so excited to return home to the Hill.
I attended DCHS and graduated in 1998. I attended college in Cookeville, TN at Tennessee Technological University. I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (1-8) and my Master's Degree in School Counseling. I completed my Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Guidance and Counseling from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee in August, 2005. I am married to Chad Murphy, and we have a son, Cooper, and another son on the way.
My counseling philosophy is student-centered and solution-focused. I am really enjoying my role in encouraging all children to strive for their personal best, and I am thrilled to be working with and assisting the students, teachers, administrators, and parents whom I so highly regard.
