Lori Wilson has nineteen years of education experience, sixteen of those years spent in our district. Lori was born and raised in Dickson County. She graduated from DCHS in 1999 and earned her degree in education from Austin Peay State University in 2004. She has been married to her husband Ray for twenty-one years and they have two daughters, Libbie and Anna Kate.
Mrs. Wilson’s career as an educator began in 2005 when she took a second grade teaching position at Pegram Elementary teaching all content areas. In 2008, she was thrilled to be moving back home to Dickson County, where she was given a teaching opportunity at Centennial Elementary. She spent nine years teaching all subjects in third grade. In 2017, she transitioned to fifth grade for two years, teaching Social Studies and ELA. Her final three years at Centennial were spent teaching Social Studies and ELA to fourth grade students. In total, she spent sixteen years serving elementary students and working alongside many exceptional educators.
In 2022, she became the Graduation Coach at Dickson County High School, while also supporting teachers in some instructional areas. This allowed her to expand her professional knowledge, giving her experience at the secondary leveI, working directly with students and teachers.
She has a collaborative approach to learning and believes strongly in team work. She is looking forward to serving Dickson County in this new role.
