Biographical Information:
I attended Tyler Junior
College in Tyler, Texas and Pellissippi State Technical Community College in
Knoxville, TN. I graduated from Austin
Peay State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a
concentration in Political Science and Psychology. My minor is in secondary education. I then studied administration and supervision
at Tennessee State University grading with a Masters in Arts.
I worked at Charlotte Middle
School for 5 years teaching US History before moving to DCHS in 2005. I have taught US History, Early American History,
Ancient History, World History and now Psychology.
Before teaching, I worked in
business and sales. I am particularly
drawn to advertising and computer arts.
My experience in business has informed much of my emphasis in preparing
students for not only college but an active and competitive work force.
I work as a sponsor for the History Club, BETA Club and DC Travelers. Our faculty helps to identify students for our travel abroad program. We have been traveling with students to foreign countries since 2013.
