At the June 25 Dickson County Schools Board of Education meeting, Dickson County Schools recognized several outstanding student-athletes as recipients of the Lead, Serve, Inspire Scholarship for their exceptional leadership, character, and commitment to serving others through athletics.

This year's scholarship recipients include:

• Xavier Knight

• Russ Ferrell

• Lily Christian

• Abigail Baker

• Addison Hamm

• Koen Herrell

The Lead, Serve, Inspire Scholarship honors students who exemplify the values of leadership, teamwork, and servant leadership both on and off the field. Recipients spent part of their summer giving back to the community by leading daily sports camps for rising fourth and fifth grade students attending Dickson County Schools summer camp sites.

Through this opportunity, these student leaders mentor younger students, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and help create a fun and engaging experience for elementary campers. Their willingness to invest in the next generation reflects the values that Dickson County Schools strives to instill in every student.
