This is Christie Southerland, Director of Schools for Dickson County. Today, a rumor was shared on social media regarding a threat to our school system.

The threat was made to the Dickson County Public Schools in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

The city of Dickson police in TN has not identified any credible threat toward schools in Dickson County TN.

Congratulations to Lora Deiter (WJMS), Jennifer Hohl (DMS), and Cecily Gaither (CMS) for having 100% of their 8th grade Algebra 1 students meeting or exceeding expectations on the Spring 2025 EOC. Dickson County 8th grade Algebra students ranked 4th out of 49 districts for highest achievement scores in the state. We are so proud of these students & teachers for their hard work last year!
