WJMS DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – Wednesday, August 14, 2019
 
 
August 26 @ 5:30 – Informational parent meeting at DMS auditorium about the Washington D.C. Trip.
 
Live on the Wild Side; Join Colonel Choir. Sign up in the foyer in the morning, office, or Mrs. Shepard's room. Colonel Choir will have its first practice Monday, August 19 3:00-4:00.
 
Bus: If a student is going to a different location other than their home, they must have a yellow slip prior to getting on the bus.  No exceptions.
 
 Breakfast and lunch is free this week. 
 
Cross Country: Practice today at CWHS from 3:30 to 4:45.  Bus is available to travel to CWHS.    
 
Golf: - Aug. 19 at MB; Aug. 26 at MB; 9/9 at Centerville for the district tournament
 
Football:  Will be in action tomorrow night at Home against Charlotte.  Game time: 6:30 PM
 
Volleyball: Again, your Lady Colonels went on the road and what did they do? V, JV, and 6th grade defeated Cheatham last evening.  Lady Colonels travel to Waverly tomorrow for a showdown with the Wildcats.          
 
Soccer:  Soccer will be traveling to Fairview tomorrow.        
 
Any 7th or 8th grader interested in becoming a library media assistant needs to fill out the application found in the wired document holder outside the office door.  Turn in your application to Ms. Caruthers by this Friday.
 
Back to School Dance on Friday, Aug. 16 from 6-8.  This is a casual dance.  Admission to the dance is $5.  Snacks and Drinks will be available to purchase.  Coach Paige would like to meet briefly with girls basketball players at 2:35.  
 
Fund Raiser KICKOFF – August 14- Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to complete a new Audio/Projection system in our gym.  We want to have a 243” diagonal electric screen with top of the line projection and audio features.

Parents:
7th Graders need their immunization shots and record of the immunization brought to school.
