Our nurses do everything from managing daily health needs and chronic conditions to providing a comforting smile and a band-aid when it’s needed most, our nurses are the heart of our schools. They keep our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn every single day. 🩹👩⚕️

These AEDs will be utilized across the district’s athletic programs, helping ensure that an AED is accessible within three minutes at any home athletic event. The devices are also designed to travel with coaches, further enhancing safety measures for student-athletes both on and off campus.
Dickson County Schools is grateful for the partnership with Horizon Medical Center and the continued commitment to student safety.

Tommy Baldwin, Dominic Galford, Casey Smith, and Weston Williams were honored for being exemplary students and for leading the Pledge of Allegiance to open the meeting. Is your child ready to leap into learning? If your little one turns 5 just after the cutoff, they may be eligible for Early Access to Kindergarten!
The Details:
Standard Entry: Must be 5 years old by August 15, 2026.
Early Access Opportunity: For children turning 5 between August 16 – September 30, 2026.
Who is it for? Academically, socially, and developmentally advanced children ready for whole-grade acceleration.

Our Maintenance Department is working on parking lots and sidewalks in an efforts to open our daycare snow sites.
Our daycare director will send a message later today regarding the potential reopening of these sites.

Dickson County Schools will remain closed Tuesday & Wednesday, February 3rd and 4th, due to the continued icy driving conditions.

Families: Inclement weather childcare sites Oakmont and Stuart Burns Elementary will not be open Monday, Feb. 2, 2025 due to icy conditions in the parking lots and walk ways on campus. The city, county and district maintenance are working to clear the areas.
