Our nurses do everything from managing daily health needs and chronic conditions to providing a comforting smile and a band-aid when it’s needed most, our nurses are the heart of our schools. They keep our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn every single day. 🩹👩⚕️

The Drug Free Dickson Coalition, TN Department of Health, and local student support sponsors are proud to host "Break the Silence: Youth Mental Health Night." This event aims to equip families with local resources and practical tools for supporting youth mental wellness. We invite all community members to join us for an evening of connection and advocacy. Our weekly newsletter is attached. This upcoming Friday, March 13th is report card day. Our students did a great job with Benchmark 3 this past week. We will be rewarding those for putting forth effort in the upcoming weeks.

In addition to the information shared in our newsletter, we want to inform all Dragon families that Chromebooks will begin going home with students each night starting February 17.
Please ensure that your child brings their Chromebook back to school each day fully charged and ready for learning.

Our Valentine's Dance is 2/13/26 from 6:00 - 8:00. Cost is $5 at the door. Concessions will be sold. Only current DMS students may attend.
We kindly ask that families refrain from sending flowers or gifts to school on February the 13th in observance of Valentine’s Day. Please note that many items are not permitted on school buses. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Due to the inclement weather, Dickson County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th. All childcare sites will also be closed.

If we experience weather-related delays or closures, students are encouraged to use some of that time to stay on track academically by reading, reviewing class materials, or completing any missing or unfinished assignments. This will help make the transition back to school smoother once we return.
