Our Creative Care program offers after school care. In the afternoon,
services are available from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

New Creative Care Closing Policy
In past years, the extended childcare staff salaries at TDS have been much higher than the student fees collected on twelve-hour days, in which schools were closed for inclement weather. With this in mind, I have implemented a new snow day policy regarding the cancellation of schools due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen situation that may occur.
When schools in Dickson County are cancelled the night before, or prior to 6:00 a.m., The Discovery School's Creative Care Program will be closed, and it has been prearranged for our students to attend the daycare facilities at Oakmont Elementary, Stuart Burns, and White Bluff.
If we have already begun the school day, we will keep your child safe in our building until the regular 6:00 p.m. pick-up time.
