6th Grade ELA Teacher
My name is Amelia Darden. This is my 6th year at CMS! I teach 6th grade ELA. In my ELA class, I try to get students to find the joy in reading and writing. We like to do lots of different activities in my room, so we can learn in many different ways! I chose to be a teacher because I love teenagers! I want to make a difference in my students' lives. I want to help bring out the best in each student, and teach them about ELA at the same time!
I am also the Girls' Basketball Coach here at CMS! My husband, Terrence Darden, is the Boys' Assistant Basketball coach at CMS! We have 3 children. Laila is a 7th grader here at CMS, Ace is 3, and Lainey Rai is 1! In our spare time, you can probably find us at some kind of sporting event, because we all love sports!
