I'm excited to begin my 11th year as a school counselor! This will be my 4th year with Dickson County schools after previously working for 7 years at McEwen High School in Humphreys County. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Austin Peay State University and my Masters degree in Professional School Counseling from TN State University. Dickson, Tennessee has been home for most of my life and that is where I live with my husband, Steven, and our family. I have two wonderful step-daughters, Rebecca & Eva, and a spunky five year old daughter named Carleigh. I'm a huge fan of the TV Show FRIENDS . I was born and raised a die hard Vanderbilt Commodores fan so it is fitting for me to be at Charlotte Middle with my favorite color combination being Black & Gold! My goal as a school counselor is to be an advocate for every student and to help them reach their potential academically and personally and to inspire them to become more than they believe they are capable of becoming!

I have been with Charlotte Middle School since 2015 as the Attendance Secretary. Prior to that I had worked for a number of years in the dental and legal secretarial fields. I enjoy spending time with my husband, our families and friends, our “fur babies,” bowling, gardening, crafting, camping and watching/cheering on grand children in their various sporting events. I also enjoy bon fires, movies, board games, card games and brain teaser games such as word searches, matching 3D, jigsaw puzzles, tetris, lumosity and adult coloring.
I have been in education for 32 years, eighteen years as a teacher and fourteen years as an administrator. I have taught both elementary and middle school grades. I love working with students, seeing them grow academically and into young adults. My goal is to make a positive impact on my students and have them know I care about them completely, not just academically.
I have two sons, ages 26 and 23 and 1 grandson who is 7 years old. I enjoy traveling, reading, and working on puzzles.

Hi! I am starting my 6th year with Dickson County Schools and my 5th year at Charlotte Middle. I have been a nurse for 14 years and have worked in a variety of settings. I am a Dickson County native and graduated DCHS in 2003. After high school, I decided to go into nursing and graduated in 2007. I am currently working on getting my BSN at Western Kentucky University and plan to eventually get a MSN. I have 2 children who are also Tigers. Baleigh is in the 7th grade and Logan in the 6th. When I’m not at CMS, you can find me with my kids and family. I love being on the beach, traveling to new destinations, attending concerts, attending sporting events and spending time with friends. I support all things Vols, Preds, Titans, and Chiefs. I love working with families to keep our students happy, healthy, and ready to learn.
