Kelly Carter
Carter, Kelly
8th Grade Science Teacher
I attended Austin Peay State University with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration of 4th-8th grade. I am a mama and wife and enjoy attending sporting events, getting lost in a good book, and spending time at the beach.I enjoy teaching at this level because it is such a critical influencial time in their lives. A good teacher can change a life and I strive to change as many as possible. Setting a child up to use the critical thinking skills for success is the best gift we as teachers can give them.  I hope to have an opportunity to go back to school when my own children are older to become a media specialist.

Jennifer Hohl
Hohl, Jennifer
7th Grade Math Teacher

My name is Jennifer Hohl and I currently teach 7th and 8th grade math at Dickson Middle School. I am a proud member of Altruismo (Black House). I have two children who are very active in sports and marching band activities. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in May 1996 with my degree in Education. My teaching philosophy is focused on ensuring that students know where they are in their academic journey and helping them realize the vision of how to reach their academic and personal goals.  Taking the time and mapping out what their needs are going forward is an important piece in goal setting, and I feel that establishing positive relationships with each student is where it begins.
