Art Teacher

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Middle Tennessee State University in 2011. I am certified to teach art to all grade levels, K-12. As a graduate of Creek Wood High School, my roots are here in Dickson County and I’m thrilled to be the art teacher at Dickson Middle. I am an advocate for the arts and hope to instill an appreciation for all types of art within our students. I believe in teaching discipline-based art education (art history, art aesthetics, art criticism, and cross-curriculum) as well as life-long skills. I strive to create a respectful, welcoming, and loving environment for my students and to encourage them to express themselves through art. When I’m not teaching, I’m a busy wife, mom of two boys, and a professional photographer.
