Curtis, Alison
My students call me Ms. Alison. I'm an interventionist for Sullivan Central Elementary School. I’ve lived in Waverly all of my life and received my early education in that community. I graduated from Austin Peay State University in the spring of 2016. I have been a substitute teacher, 1st grade teacher, and library assistant. The library assistant position allowed me to work in RTI for grades Kindergarten through 4th grade. I’m a proud aunt of two nephews and one niece. My household consists of two dogs, a cat, and several chickens. I have many hobbies. My favorite is studying and photographing the wildlife of Tennessee. I’m especially fond of insects. "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain

Title One Teacher
The students call me Mrs. Gossett. I am thrilled to be teaching Title 1 here at Sullivan Central! Prior to Sullivan, I taught Title 1 and 4th grade math/science/social studies at Centennial Elementary in Dickson County. I received my Master's in Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University and my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. My husband teaches 4th grade in Cheatham county, where we live with our blended family. Between us we have four children. Our oldest son recently joined the Army and is in the process of completing his basic training. Our lives literally revolve around education and serving the communities within which we live and work. When we are not teaching or attending local sporting events, we enjoy peaceful days with our pets on our small farm. "I don't think anyone can grow unless he's loved exactly as he is now, appreciated for what he is rather than what he will be." ~ Mr. Rogers
