Many times we are at a loss on how to integrate addressing emotional needs with instruction. We have an urgency to prepare students with our content, but if our students are struggling with behaviors or emotions, they aren’t ready for our content instruction. We know we have to take care of Maslow’s before we can address Bloom’s. Participants will leave with tools that will lay the foundation for students to self-regulate their behaviors and emotions.  We will discuss some simple strategies that can be integrated into instruction, with the whole group or individually, with minimal instruction time lost. Participants will leave with a plan on how best to integrate these strategies in their own classroom.
